Ol’ man Winter keeps deliverin’ the goods & the river gods the fish…
Hey Now it’s April again in the Sawtooths and it couldn’t be better if yo’ a winter lover. ‘Tho I first witnessed my first set of Sandy Cranes in the flightpath next to the Sawtooth Hotel today, I did notice they was a bit confused. I mean really, they ain’t used to flyin in this kind of snow, wind, sleet, and muck.
For a goat, this is the best time in the universe to be a goat in the Sawtooths… But I’m not here to preach winter…ya’ll folks know what’s been goin’ on this winter!
I’m here to preach the virtues of SPRING….And SUN…and corn snow, and long days, and high waters….
We’ve got both Winter and Spring goin’ on in Stanley right now. From day to day, y’all never knowwhatchagonnagit. KnowwhatImean? Ain’t it somethin’!

The Hotel dining room will close Saturday, April 30. Will reopen Friday, May 20 for dinner.
