    February 21st, 2010

Hey Hey Hey…. Check this out… Skier/writer/climber/zenster/ legendary soul brotha Dick Dorworth will be here at the Sawtooth Hotel on Friday, March 5 for a  book reading.  He’s gonna read from his latest, ‘The Joy of Skiing,” and his older one, “Night Driving.”   This is a guy who got skiin’ 105 miles per hour in a pair of lace-up leather boots!  Set the world record in 1963.  There’s gonna be a big vegetarian feast that night.

This is meant to serve as the opening ceremony of the Sawtooth Ski Festival weekend.  Saturday poker run at Park Creek, Headwaters/dinner/silent auction at Stanley Community Center Saturday night, and skiing at Alturas on Sunday.

It’s bound to be a fine time.  Come get in touch with your inner soul goat the weekend of March 5-7 in good ol’ Stanley, Idaho.
