    Ya’ gotta eat..

    Sunday, May 30th, 2010

Bein a goat in the Sawtooths sometimes is harder than y’all may think… Don’t mistake this as a whine or a snivle, but there is some truth to the hardships of my environment, especially in the winter.  Walking the alpine all winter in the snow can make a goat flat hungry.  And the truth is there ain’t too much food up there.   I mean, every once in awhile, I’ll get lucky and get me a little shrub or some lichen, but I’m tellin’ ya- it be SLIM PICKIN’s.  And I mean it when I say that, this time a year, a goat like me is flat-out starvin’.

That’s why I wanted to tell y’all that if you humans are any bit like us goats, and are hungry this time of year, I got news to report from the good ol’ mountain town of Stanley, Idaho.
